LăsaÅ£i un mesaj ÅŸi alăturaÅ£i-vă ei.

Doctor Who Convention in Philadelphia 1984

This video is from a local NJ Public Broadcasting TV station in 1984 that ran Dr. Who. The poorish quality is due to the fact that the person who originally recorded it used the cheap VHS (6 hour) recording speed (back then video tapes were expensive). The guests shown are Sarah Sutton and Ian Marter.

As BBC America announces, Adrian Scarborough and Garrick Hagon are going to be special guests in Doctor Who, season 7.

I am not sure in which episode Garrick Hagon will appear, but he have appeared once before in Doctor Who as a character called Ky in The Mutants in 1972. He is know for rebel Biggs, a friend of Luke Skywalker in Star Wars.

Doctor Who – Cast and crew, special

The video was made by Jennie Fava and it was edited by Geraint Huw Reynolds. It’s interesting to find more about the people behind Doctor Who series, to put a face to a name… and it’s also fun (the video).  It was made for the end of David Tennant’s tenure as the Doctor.

Doctor Who casts Ben Browder in 7th season, episode 3

If you are a sci-fi fan you already know Ben Browder from the Farscape (as John Crichton) and Stargate SG-1 (as Cameron Mitchell) series. Well, according to  Doctor Who Magazine (the show’s official magazine) Ben Browder is going to appear as a guest in the third episode of the forthcoming seventh (or 33th, depending on how you count them) season – that’s going to be begin in autumn 2012 on BBC and BBC America.

The story is said to be set the American Wild West, though it’s filming in Spain. As far the episode is still untitled, but it’s written by Toby Withouse (the creator of the series Being Human from BBC3) and directed by Saul Metzstein.

Filming series 7 of Doctor Who starts… tomorrow

As announced on the official site, filming the season 7 of Doctor Who will start tomorrow in Cardiff and somewhere in Wales. There were announced a lot of surprises, as usual, especially it’s already been confirmed that Toby Whithouse and Chris Chibnall are writing episodes for the new series of Doctor Who.

The first director to shout ‘action’ will be the award-winning Saul Metzstein whose previous credits include Micro Men (starring Alexander Armstrong and Martin Freeman), the critically acclaimed Late Night Shopping and BBC Wales’ Upstairs Downstairs. For the very first time, Doctor Who will be produced at the new BBC Roath Lock Studios in Cardiff, which officially open in March. The production team includes Steven Moffat (Executive Producer and lead writer), Caroline Skinner (Executive Producer) and Marcus Wilson (Producer).

The new series will see Matt Smith return as the Doctor in what Steven Moffat has described as ‘the biggest, the best and the most ambitious season we’ve ever made’. Karen Gillan (Amy) and Arthur Darvill (Rory) are both back, for what will be their final voyage with the Doctor – a thrilling rollercoaster ride which will culminate in a heart-breaking farewell to the Ponds. But there will be more shocks, surprises and adventures to come when the Doctor meets a new friend, in the last very place he could ever have expected…
